2000 Lincoln Town Car

The 2000 Lincoln Town Car was manufactured in California with rounded lines and a trimmer, and less formal look compared to previous models. Handling is better than before and it provides smooth ride and comfortable room. Entrance and exit to and from the car is very easy. This year's Lincoln Town Car is available in three models: the Signature Series, Cartier Series and the Executive Series which is offered as a fleet car. Executive and Signature Series is equipped with a 205-horsepower 4.6-liter V8 while Cartier is powered by a more powerful 220-horsepower V8 with standard dual exhaust.

The front and rear passenger compartments have ample space and the rear pillar is redesigned to make the backseat cozier than in previous models. Its big and comfortable bucket seats have power-adjustable lumbar support and two-position memory. Also, it shores up a new side-impact airbag system. Almost everything in the interior is either new or improved. Added to the normal fuel and temperature gauges is the speedometer the speedometer that is now flanked by two small displays consisting of a message center and a compass. It has a system that includes an unnecessary digital speedometer. Its standard Alpine stereo with larger controls is very easy to operate. Its steering wheel is made up of buttons for the sound system and cruise control. To make them easy to reach and understand, all minor controls are positioned across the big dashboard.

One safety enhancement is the addition of a child safety seat attached in the back seat All this features contributes to a much more satisfying ride. It is a very quite car with a greatly improved transmission that gives quicker and more positive shifts. It also has a standard full-time all-speed traction that boosts control by decreasing wheelspin during hard acceleration. Town Car's brakes have also been upgraded with bigger, thicker front discs and twin-piston calipers. It also comes with standard anti-lock brakes that allow the driver to keep up steering control during panic stops.
