1998 Lincoln Town Car
For this year, the division would like to use the Town Car to gain buyers away
from any other domestic and Japanese luxury models. Hence, Town Car became a subject
for fresh restyling and great improvement in driving and handling. Also, 1998
Lincoln Town Car comes with better brakes and more manipulated ride quality. Lincoln
1998 Town Car is 85 percent new but the designers, engineers and product planners
have retained the interior space and the trunk space.

The rectilinear design, the square corners and several of the formality of the
car have been thrown away. This vehicle was designed at Ford's California facility
and it is round but it doesn't appear like a jellybean; it looks formal but is
not frumpy; it is trim yet it still substantial. Everything inside the car is
new and enhanced. These changes can easily be noticed from the door panels to
the radio face to the switches and controls. For this year, the electronic instrument
cluster of the old Town Car has been removed and replaced by a new smaller cluster
that house a centered speedometer teamed with fuel and temperature gauges.
The gooseneck mirrors are aimed to produce less wind noise and the windshield
has been moved forward by four inches. This vehicle also comes with thicker glass,
triple seals on the door and pillars which have been designed to control the noise.
1998 Town Car is offered in three versions: the Executive Series which is being
sold as a fleet car, the Signature series and the Cartier series. Each of the
three models has been progressively equipped to significantly transform it to
an American-idiom luxury car. It comes as a rear-wheel drive and is loaded with
V8 engine, quality ride, seating capacity for six, large trunk room, and plenty
of comfort and power facilities.
